"I was a Domestic Executive for 20 years while raising my four children.  Born in New Jersey, but growing up in Venice, I moved to Fort Lauderdale after college and lived there for 30 years. When a 21 year marriage led to divorce, I became a single mom and a sole provider. A dear friend encouraged me to get my insurance license, and I have always had a soft spot for seniors, so I decided to get into the very specialized niche of Medicare Supplements.

 

Some years ago, I saw first hand what being in a network plan looked like for my mom - a limited network of doctors, referrals for specialists and approvals for procedures.  She had co-pays, co-insurance and high deductibles all under the idea that it’s “free”.  Thankfully, I got into the business at the right time and was able to help my mom.  Original Medicare with a Supplemental policy allows you to go to any doctor, any specialist and any medical facility in the country that accepts Medicare because Medicare is your primary.  If done correctly, you DO have the choices you deserve!

As a licensed insurance agent in 15 states, Karla's main focus is on Medicare.  She specializes in helping seniors gain a comprehensive understanding of the differences between Advantage Plans and Original Medicare.  However, she does have a license to also write life, cancer, long term care and annuities.
